Hey Everyone! As Beau mentioned, Utilities Supply has not yet obtained a registration and license, therefore is not authorized to operate as a Class II composting facility. While the most recent version (February 2010) of the map does not impact NE Ohio, the document is regularly updated and is available at the following website:
http://www.epa.ohio.gov/portals/34/document/general/iw_food_compost_map.pdf
We're also working on other maps that will hopefully assist food scraps diversion projects, and it's exciting to see the momentum continuing to build in NE Ohio!

Jeri Leigh--thanks for posting the map of Ohio Food Waste Composting Facilities. The only correction is that Utilities Supply (#16) is not a Class II facility yet.

Thank you to Jesse Jacobson and Jill Ziegler for preparing compost RFP’s. We received three, from some of the Downtown Cleveland group participants. We will begin reviewing the detailed information on Monday.

Good morning! Actually Bon Appetit has contracted with us as well for their pre-consumer waste. Please keep us in mind too, Marc! :) Beau, thanks for always including us. Our worms always need more food and bedding.

Beau, You left me a message about the RFP...the Zoo has already moved ahead - we got 3 different quotes from haulers and will be making a decision shortly (if all goes well, probably with Rosby as well).

Hi Beau,
As you know, the University Circle green teams are trying to gather resources to propose a district-wide composting pilot run, similar to what the downtown businesses, including The Q and Forest City, achieved in '09. So, if you could provide the RFP (post it here?) that would be helpful. Thanks. (FYI, I'm sure you saw the recent news that Bon Appetit is contracting with Rosby to haul and process their food waste from Case!)
