Profile Information

Your organization
Ohio EPA
Your website
http://www.epa.state.oh.us/dsiwm
What attracts you to the concept of zero waste?
Definitely taking a closer look at reducing the waste we unnecessarily produce in the first place, but then defining those wastes as resources.
What is your organization doing to eliminate waste?
Providing outreach to communities throughout the state to assist in the development and implementation of projects like Zero Waste NEO
What motivated you to join ZeroWasteNEO.org?
Learn best practices, Share resources, Network with others, Find ways to save money
What do you need to learn to be able to take action towards Zero Waste?
Please share any questions or concerns you may have and through collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District and others we can provide the information and other resources needed to develop sustainable projects.
Please describe your organization's waste reduction goals (i.e. zero waste by 2019).
My goal is to share as much information as possible with those who want to be zero waste by 2019 to make this ambitious (yet attainable) goal a smooth transition. Also, for the general public to shift their views and see the value not only in traditional recyclables but also food scraps.
