- What attracts you to the concept of zero waste?
- It is a central Tenet of Faith in my professional practice and my personal life. Matter and Energy can neither be created nor destroyed --- fundamental physics. They are merely transmuted into another state or form..... It is our Responsibility as sentient beings --- and especially as "Human Beings: The Builder & Toolmakers" --- to be conscious and pragmatic as to how we regard matériel and energy within our sphere of control ...
- What is your organization doing to eliminate waste?
- It is part and parcel of how I Design, how I plan as a green builder and LEED AP, how I approach people in projects and general business. As an example I was in the initiative to bring Recycling to the entire East 4th Neighborhood - mixed use Entertainment District. Up to then there was no services for neither the Residential nor Commercial tenants... now thru our efforts at The Greenhouse Tavern [ my first major project as Principle Designer and Sustainability Consultant ] we have the co-mingle recycling for not only our business, but the entire neighborhood ! Write those letters kids...and stop taking NO for and answer when it comes to Sustainability efforts !

- Always need to learn more --as a professional with an emerging practice ... and as a citizen of our shared community . I am very interested in urban composting for the Restaurant industry. I was suggested to get connected here by Beau Daane -- so here we go ! !

- Big Drop-Off day at ZeroLandfill ... Designers, Architects, vendors, colleges - if you have old Specification Samples come donate them to us and we will find them a new home and a Useful Future.
As always, we need energetic Volunteers to help receive, weigh and sort all this matériel . Come on down all between 10am and 2pm today !
