Your organization
JIT Reshippables, Inc.
Briefly describe your organization's products/services and the size of operations.
Replacing customers expendable packaging with reusable packaging on lease terms. These pooling solutions elimate packaging waste and save our customer on thier overall packaging costs. We have over 20,000 bulk reusable containers in our supply loops which are all tracked, cleaned and repaired after each use.

What attracts you to the concept of zero waste?
As a "green" solutions provider, we believe that this is the future of packaging. The concept of zero waste is one that more companies are adopting and it will soon be something that all companies, big and small, will be participating in as environmental friendly education and awareness evolve.
What is your organization doing to eliminate waste?
We eliminate our customer expendable packaging by leasing them reusable plastic containers. All dunnage (poly bags, fiberboard partitions) are recycled on site. We even have a service to take your unwanted recyclable material back on our trucks to be treated at our facility. If you are using bulk corrugated containers, we can eliminate your waste, give you stronger packaging that will increase safety and product protection, and reduce your overall packaging costs.

What do you need to learn to be able to take action towards Zero Waste?
We need to keep up with the advancements of how recyclables are treated so we are being as effecient as possible when helping our customers stay environmentally friendly.
Please describe your organization's waste reduction goals (i.e. zero waste by 2019).
Keep adding customers that have the "green initiative". We just began molding our own reusable containers and our goal is to have a full line of different sizes and styles by 2019.
If your organization has set a zero waste goal, how do you plan to reach that goal?
We already have by treating all waste water with our new waste water treatment facility and recycling all plastic and corrugated. Our goal is to help others reach their goals with the benefits our company has to offer.

Welcome Josh. Packaging can certainly be one of the biggest causes of waste and your program looks very interesting. I'd definitely like to find out more about it.

We have reached our goals and our customers goals as far as packaging waste goes but we can use some improvements with office waste at our Middlefield, OH location. It's on my "to do" list for this quarter to initiate a office waste recycling program. Glad to be part of the site. I would love the chance to help all those who are interested in reducing their packaging waste.

Thanks

Josh
