Sarah, are you working with George Jones Farm in Oberlin? They can probably take all the compost you can produce, and you're not that far away. Good luck with your project!
Businesses, insititutions and organizations interested in exploring the potential for a downtown Cleveland composting loop. Share ideas, best practices, potential solutions, hurdles, etc.
Hi Rosemary,
Nice to hear from you. We use molasses in our compost tea to provide a food source for the beneficial microorganisms.....at least that's what I've read. For the compost tour, check out events on zerowasteneo site: http://www.zerowasteneo.org/events The event is on August 6th and sadly I will miss it. If you go, please send me any good nuggets of info you glean.
Have a great day!
Annabel
Glad to see you on zerowasteneo. Did you see the article in the PD - http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/07/clevelands_forprofit_urban_gar.html
All these farms are going to need compost....
You can also check out my blog at http://baybranch.wordpress.com/ for details about what I've been up to....
