Cleveland Greenhouse Project

What attracts you to the concept of zero waste?

I can't stand throwing anything away. Ask my family!

What is your organization doing to eliminate waste?

Composting to provide soil amendments for a year-round greenhouse (yet to be).

What motivated you to join ZeroWasteNEO.org?

Learn best practices, Share resources, Network with others, Find ways to save money

What do you need to learn to be able to take action towards Zero Waste?

Large-scale composting.

Please describe your organization's waste reduction goals (i.e. zero waste by 2019).

We hope to be a closed loop greenhouse with the addition of food scraps from local sources.

Nice to hear from you. We use molasses in our compost tea to provide a food source for the beneficial microorganisms.....at least that's what I've read. For the compost tour, check out events on zerowasteneo site: http://www.zerowasteneo.org/events The event is on August 6th and sadly I will miss it. If you go, please send me any good nuggets of info you glean.
