The Zero waste concept closes the loop and makes you think about all the decisions you make when purchasing, using and ultimately disposing of items. I am intrigued by how much can be reused and recycled if we put our minds to it and change our behavior.
What is your organization doing to eliminate waste?
We are a company that works with Commercial kitchens and restaurants to reduce the amount of cooking oil they use through an on-site recycling program, then when the oil is unusable for frying we produce bio-diesel to distribute locally.
We are always looking at ways we can reduce our waste by using recycled and laundered cleaning equipment and we use very little water. We do most of our marketing and invoicing electronically when available.
